Grandma, I miss you so much already! I wish I would have had another chance to get to visit with you, that is something that will always haunt me. You were the best Grandma ever! When we did come for a visit I always knew you were going to make Angel Food Cake, even though you knew I didn't like it. It would always make me laugh. I remember playing in your jewelry box and wearing my favorite pair of earrings. Tell Grandpa and Mom hello for me and tell them I love and miss them as I love and miss you always! Dear Konnie and family, I am both shocked and saddened at hearing of the passing of your precious mom. I feel so blest that I was able to meet her in 2012 at the Pipestone Historical. What a sweet wonderful lady. Never in a million years did I ever think I would meet me grandmothers first cousin. Thank you for making that memory and her trip possible. My heart is heavy knowing of her passing but know that she is in heaven with all are other loved ones. Again, my condolences and please be in touch. Love to you and yours. Konnie, I send my prayers and thoughts to you and your family for the loss of your mother. I remember going to the wedding of our teacher (Miss Amelin?) in the summer and your mom and dad taking a carful of us little girls. I lost my mom in July 2002. I know what you will be going through in the days ahead. I draw comfort from knowing that we are made of star stuff. Your mother and mine are now stars again. Kella

Lavon always called me "Janie." I loved that. She and my mother allowed Konnie and me to be adventurous and creative...to embrace life in our little "town with a heart." They and our fathers instilled values which we both live by to this day. When my mother passed, Von treated me like a daughter. I will miss her so deeply, but her compassion and spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren. I feel certain she's already playing cards with Rich, my parents, the Gettings, and the Jacobsons. Bless you, Lavon.
