To Delmer's family, no better time could be had than listening to the band and Delmer himself. He was loved by many and brought joy to all. I am sure Rene is waiting in Heaven for the chance to dance again to his wonderful music. We are sorry to hear of his passing, knowing that he is playing for the Lord should be a comfort. To my dearest Myrna and the Delmer Dahnke family.... and friends.. When we lose someone we love we gain an Angel we know and will always remember... Our hearts hurt for the loss of your darling Delmer.... Praying the Holy Spirit connects you to God and fills you with peace!!!!! Many of us go back a long time, Me knowing Myrna at Gaza, Iowa school... Several years later along came Delmer who provided music for many of us Northwest Iowa Polka lovers... And then there was Myrna, so the TWO become One just as they have been all these many wonderful years... Raising a beautiful family and continuing to live on the farm which Delmer so loved. It was a pleasure to visit in the Dahnke home in June of 2022 and again this past June, 2023... Dancing in their living room to one of Delmer's tapes brought back all the good times... So happy to have these memories locked up in our hearts... Sending love and hugs from Rhoda & Ronnie...

Myrna, my sincere sympathy to you and your family. My parents, Duaine and Helene Keller truly loved Delmar's music and danced to him numerous times. They were so thankful when he played for their 50th wedding anniversary celebration in Hartley. I pray you find peace in knowing others are praying for you. Hugs to you.

My first memory of Delmer was when he would sing and play for Grandpa Muhs. He played for our 25th anniversary. He played at the nursing home and would alway play Waltz across Texas for my mom. My favorite song was Blue Skirt Waltz. I loved to hear him sing He had a great voice
