Obituary of Joanne Marie Bieser
Please share a memory of Joanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joanne Marie Bieser, daughter of Stanley and Gertrude (Perchinski) Boris, was born August 30, 1945 in Mount Caramel, Pennsylvania. She spent her youth around the Mount Caramel area and attended school through the 8th Grade.
On March 31, 1981, Joanne was united in marriage to Dwayne Dale Bieser in Minnesota. She was employed for several years at the hospital in Sheldon, Iowa in the Housekeeping Department. After completing courses at George, Iowa, Joanne earned her CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certificate and began working at Prairie View Nursing Home located in Sanborn, Iowa. She enjoyed being around the residents and making their day a more pleasant one by assisting them in whatever way she could. She was employed at Prairie View for many years before her retirement.
Joanne was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Sanborn, helping with events and functions as she was able. When she could manage some free time, you could usually find her with a ball or two of yarn and a crochet hook in her hand. Once she taught herself how to crochet, it was just a matter of - which colors, what pattern, and a quiet hour or two. Over the years, Joanne made many beautiful afghans for family and friends. If there was a baby on the way, you were sure to receive a soft, new baby afghan from her. As much as she enjoyed her handwork, it could all be set aside if it meant talking to, or being with, her children or grandchildren. Family was everything to Joanne and she treasured each one of them.
On January 20, 2022, Joanne passed from this life to be reunited with loved ones who had gone before: her parents; and her sister, Marie Root.
Keeping her memory close at heart are her husband, Dwayne Bieser of Sanborn, IA; her son, Jack Burke, Jr. of Pennsylvania; her daughter, Michelle and her husband, Leon Uitdeflesch, along with their two sons all of Sheldon, Iowa; her brother, Edward Boris of Pennsylvania; other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
