Obituary of Julie Jodene Ebel

Please share a memory of Julie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Julie Jodene Ebel graced this world with her presence on August 20th, 1976. She lived a life full of love and laughter stemming from her upbringing in Hartley, Iowa. She graduated from Hartley Melvin Sanborn in 1994, where she left a piece of her heart in H-town. She raised a beautiful daughter, Hailey. She loved her first, and Hailey loves her the same. She fought cancer and beat it twice with Hailey by her side every day to eat mom’s toast. She always said that the most important job in her entire life was to be a mom. She added to her already perfect world with her kind and loving son, Spenser. Both of her children will carry on some of her amazing characteristics. There is nobody more spunky, feisty, or loving than Jules. Nobody will ever forget the type of mom she was.

That world was added to with her grandchildren: Finnagin beginnagin, Widget McGidget, and little Ollie baby. She was the coolest grandma is the entire world.

She always fought for the underdog, and she spent her entire life helping others. She loved playing flowers, she loved spending time with her family, and her children and grandchildren were her whole world!

Julie passed away on September 19th, 2020 while having fun in dreamland and she’s still listening to some Cartwrights and thinking HELL NO I AIN’T EATING THOSE PEAS!!!

Carrying on her legacy are her children, her grandchildren, and her amazing parents Jim and Peg Ebel. She loved them more than words can express. Julie and Grandma Ollie are together forever, looking out for them all.

Julie’s words that she doesn’t want anyone to forget: Life is meant to be lived. Splash in puddles, dance in the rain, sing bad karaoke, drink too many shots, gamble at the casino... and for the love of everything GO TO VEGAS!!!
