The family will be present for the visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. A Masonic Rites service will be held following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

I was a classmate of Jeff's at seminary and was sorry to see in our recent alumni news that Jeff died in September. Throughout our time together at seminary, I appreciated Jeff's kind presence, his caring ear, and his compassionate heart. During my first call to ministry (in Iowa) I loved running into Jeff at the Iowa Annual meetings and receiving a big hug from him. It was an honor to have known Jeff and worked beside him.

Please accept my prayers and condolences. I got to know Jeff on our long bus trip to LA when he and his youth group attended the UCC Synod. I knew Jeff as a warm, open caring person. We would always spend some time together at a UCC meeting to catch up with what each of us had been doing.

My deepest sympathy in this way too soon loss of such a gentle and spiritual man. My heart goes out to each of Jeff's family at this time. I so treasured knowing Jeff all those years ago when we both were ministering in Iowa, and respected him greatly. His loss will be felt in so many areas of ministry and the conference for a long, long time. May each of you feel God's blessings and arms of the great healer during this time of mourning and grief, and may you recall only joy-filled memories and recall times of great fun and laughter as you talk about your lives with this gentle man.
