Obituary of Steven D. Bremer

Steven D. Bremer, son of Stanley Darrell and Cleo Mae (Guhl) Bremer was born October 12, 1951 at Hartley, IA. He lived his youth in the Hartley area until his father's occupation dictated a move to Rock Rapids, IA, then to Fremont, CA. Steve was confirmed at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church MS in Fremont, CA where he completed his education, graduating from high school there. After high school, Steve served his country for 3 years in the United States Navy aboard an aircraft carrier. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed by the Spokane Airlines for a time. He also worked at a lumber camp and was groundskeeper for Marilyn Rider. As his parents required more assistance, Steve relocated back to Hartley in order to help out where he could. Being an artist at heart, whenever Steve could find some "down-time", he would spend it drawing or dabbling in photography. He too, was a "Mr. Fix-It" like his dad. He passed away on April 7, 2016 at the age of 64 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Adelila Guhl, and Christopher and Eleanor Bremer; his father, Stanley D. Bremer; and two paternal aunts and uncles. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cleo of Hartley, IA; his brother, Wayne Bremer of Kiowa, CO, and his children: Eero and Vanessa; aunts: Joyce Fowler of Adel, IA, and Virginia Smith of Fremont, CA; other relatives and friends.
