My heart breaks and is heavy at the sudden loss of Aaron. What a talented, funny, caring and just nice guy. My daughter Kellie is in the theatre company at Castle View High school and he has done incredible things the last two years with the theatre program. He put his heart and soul into it and the kids knew that! He will be so missed, but his legacy and light will live on! So a funny Aaron story...I was one of the chaperones that went on the Theatre London trip in 2015. We had a great group, but Aaron was worried that someone would get lost or get off at the wrong subway stop. He would joke about not being the kid that gets off at the wrong stop! One night we all hustled the kids onto the Subway, yelling out the get off point like we always did. We got off and we all looked around..WHERE WAS AARON? HE DIDN'T GET OFF! We couldn't help to laugh a little. The kids were ready to give him a hard time and not let him live that one down! We waited at the meet up place and he slowly came out of a subway with a little smile on his face! The kids teased him all in fun! I think all the pictures we took in London Aaron did the Deyoung thumbs up in all of them! We all laughed a lot on that trip. He had a good heart...he cared about others and wanted them to feel like a part of something. He was kind to my daughter and encouraged her when times got tough. I will always be thankful for him! At Thescon he waited up with Kellie to see if she made main stage. He even told her she could go to bed and he would knock on the door and wake her, but they stayed up and celebrated when they heard she made it! The Theatre Troupe had a clean up and barbecue recently and he saved Kellie a clean spot on the grill for her Veggie burgers (she's Vegan) and he brought special utensils just for her burgers so the meat wouldn't touch. That is just so extremely thoughtful! You are all all in our thoughts and prayers and we send many hugs from Colorado. You raised a fine young man! We will miss him very much!
