I am very sorry to hear that Galen is gone. To Eric, your Dad was a very good man and I was very happy to have had the opportunity to meet him and be a Brother. Galen now rest from his earthly labors and enjoys the fruits of God's Blessings. He was a true friend and I enjoyed many wonderful conversations with him. I am so sorry for your loss. Galen was a special friend who would come see me at Union Memorial and get copies of the lectionary calendar so he could use it when preparing his sermon for where he was scheduled to preach next. He usually had a joke to tell and was always smiling. I had prayed that the cancer would go away, but I guess God wanted him home. May you have peace knowing he is no longer suffering and is probably singing in the heavenly choir!!

I'm sorry & surprised to hear about Galen. He was great person who was active in the church when my dad, Rev. Paul Hansen served there in the 70's. Lots of special memories of when the Bordens, Rozebooms & Hansens got together. Lots of fun and laughter fill my mind. Both Dad and I send out prayers to all the family. I and some of our church members were just wondering yesterday how Galen was doing. I received his last email asking for no more emails and he explained how his first chemo hadn't worked for him. I was so in hopes he would have a few more years left with us. He was a very special man and our church will miss him coming to be our lay leader.....I will miss him as a very dear friend......your family has my most sincere sympathy...Galen has been taken home to rest in God's paradise he has made for him...God Bless !

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I remember when Grandpa Rozeboom took my brother, Brandon and I on an airplane ride when we were kids. It was a memorable experience as he was the pilot.
