My deepest sympathy to Velma's family. I have often wondered about her knowing that she lived in Spencer at one time. We were neighbors on the east end of Hartley a long time ago. God bless.
Peggy and Doug~. I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. And Ian your grandmother. "Sissy" and "Boyfriend" held a very special place in my heart when growing up. I spent a lot of time on the "farm" and I have so many memories that it would take a book to fill. My daughters and I would always walk over to Sissy's nearly 3 times a week. King, their dog was always waiting for us knowing I was bringing a treats for him. Sissy made the best peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies. We'd have coffee and cookies and watch "Dark Shadows" together. She was like a sister to me that I never had. I could always tell her anything and she'd understand. We would also share some private memories and laugh. Yes, I'm going to miss her. She's now at peace with Boyfriend and son Gayle. It's been a long time since they've seen each other you know. Someday we too will see her and our loved ones again. Smile through your tears and keep memories close to your hearts.
