Obituary of Jerry Tewes

Jerry Lynn Tewes, son of Lester L. Tewes and Dorothy E. (Diekmann) Tewes, was born December 3, 1960 at Hartley, Iowa. He grew up in the Hartley area and attended school there, graduating from Hartley High School in 1979. On July 12, 1985, Jerry was united in marriage to Sheri Lou Fanning at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley. The couple were blessed with two children, Brice and Danielle. Over the years, Jerry was employed with Cook Industries, Hopers, BSI and most recently, Thermo Gas now Coop Energy out of Hartley. When work would allow, one of his greatest enjoyments was found outdoors, either hunting or fishing. Spending time with his family, or relaxing in his garage made each day complete. Of course, the family pet, Peaches, always managed to get her share of attention. Jerry passed from this life on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the age of 54. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sheri, and children: Brice Tewes and Danielle Tewes of Hartley; his father, Lester Tewes of Hartley; mother-in-law, Judy Fanning of Hartley; brother, Kevin (Jean) Tewes of Hartley; sisters: Glenda Tewes of Hartley and Karen (Phil) Scott of Aurora, CO; brother-in-law, Brent Fanning of Hartley; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Preceding him in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents; his mother, Dorothy, and father-in-law, Pat Fanning. Celebration of Life Jerry L.
