Obituary of Burdelle Krikke

Burdelle "Bud" Albertus Krikke, son of Luke and Sadie (Bolkema) Krikke, was born April 20, 1936 in Archer, IA. He spent his youth in rural Sanborn, IA and attended Sanborn Christian School through the 8th grade. On March 27, 1957, Bud was united in marriage to Noreen Van Tol at the Christian Reformed Church in Sanborn. To this union, three children were born: Brenda, Rhonda, and Barry. Bud was employed by Sanborn Co-op Grain Company for 39 years. Even with his busy schedule at the co-op, Bud found time to give back to his community by serving on the Sanborn School Board, as well as the Sanborn Ambulance Team as an EMT. He was a member of the Sanborn Christian Reformed Church where he had been a Cadet leader and deacon. Bud also volunteered at Hope Haven International in the wheelchair ministry. His leisure time was spent fishing, playing pool and taking bus tours with Noreen. Bud passed from this life on December 27, 2014 at the age of 78. Thankful for having shared his life are his wife, Noreen of Sanborn, IA; children: Brenda (Mark) Dagel of Ocheyedan, IA, Rhonda (Jerrold) Wynia of Canton, SD, and Barry (Dawn) Krikke of Sioux Falls, SD; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Howard (Alvina) Krikke, and Leroy (Sherry) Krikke; sister, Shirley (Al) Rens; brother-in-law, Leroy (Susie) Van Tol; and sister-in-law, Jayne (Loren) Bittner; other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Luke and Sadie Krikke; his in-laws, Mynard and Jeanette Van Tol; his brother and sister-in-law, John (Arlene) Krikke; his sister and brother-in-law, Stella (Harry) Bosma; and brother-in-law, Jay Van Tol.
