Memorial Tribute
Raymond Aloyisious Endorf, the son of Arley and Jeanette (Hopkins) Endorf, was born January 15, 1961 at Sheldon, IA. He lived his youth in the Sanborn IA area and received his education at the Sanborn Public School, graduating from Sanborn High School in 1979. He furthered his education for two years at the University of Northern Iowa.
Ray was currently employed with Mel Norem Construction out of Sanborn. He passed away at his home in Sanborn on September 1, 2013 at the age of 52.
Ray was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church in Sanborn. He was an avid flower gardener, and appreciated all things outdoors; fishing, hunting, swimming and camping being among them. He really liked kids, and especially enjoyed bonfires and flying kites with Charlie. He spent some of his free time playing pool and disc golf (frolfing). He also loved music, and enjoyed going dancing with Deb. Ray was a giving person; donating his hair four times to Locks of Love, and was only two pints short of having given seven gallons of blood. His greatest delight was being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his soulmate, Deb (Brockshus) Clem; mother, Jeanette; sister, Sherryl (Wade) Tressler all of Sanborn; brother, Alan (Vicki) Endorf of Waterloo, IA; nephew, Andy Endorf of Denver, IA; nieces: Rae Lyn (Roger) Paulson and their children, Jade and Ethan of Sheldon, and Janelle Endorf (special friend, Matt Peyton) and their son Reece of Myrtle Beach, NC; Deb's children, Charlie and Lindell Clem of Sanborn, and Oma Clem of Sioux City, IA.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Arley; his grandparents: Murvin and Marie Hopkins, and Ray and Elizabeth Endorf; uncles: Tom Endorf, Warren Louderback, Loren Robinson, Bob Huff; and aunts: Marveen Lange and Beverly Robinson.
