Memorial Tribute
Stacey Jean Sorensen, daughter of Don and Cheryl (Thraen) Klein, was born in Sioux Falls, SD on December 27, 1971. Childhood years were spent in the Dell Rapids, SD area, where she attended St. Mary's School, graduating with the class of 1990. Following high school, Stacey furthered her education at Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD.
On June 18, 2011, Stacey was united in marriage to Jeff Sorensen at Dell Rapids, SD. She and Jeff began their life together in Melvin, IA where Stacey enjoyed tending her flowers and decorating their home. She loved to listen to music, watch Stampede Hockey, and play with their two dogs, Waags and Zelda. In their free time, Stacey and Jeff would take off in their camper to revel in the great outdoors. Visits from her nieces and nephews were always a special delight for Stacey. She passed away on August 10, 2013 at her home in Melvin at the age of 41 years, 7 months, 13 days.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeff of Melvin; her parents, Don and Cheryl Klein of Dell Rapids, SD; one brother, Chris (Heather) Klein and children, Gillian and Elizabeth of Colton, SD; father and mother-in-law, Craig and Barb Sorensen of Melvin, sister-in-law, Becky (Scott) Vollink and children, Trenton, Emma and Audra of Hartley, IA, brother-in-law, Reggie Sorensen and his daughter, Payton of Hartford, SD.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.
