Obituary of Daniel Ballou

Daniel Ross Ballou, son of Gary L. and Ruth (Bruggom) Ballou, was born at Sheldon, IA September 25, 1958. He lived his youth in Sanborn, IA and attended the Sanborn Community School. Following grade school, Dan attended Hope Haven at Rock Valley, IA for a couple of years, then moved to the Village NW Complex at Sheldon, IA. In May, 2011, he moved back to Sanborn and settled in at the Prairie View Campus. Dan was an avid fan of history, particularly military history. He enjoyed being with his friends, and dearly loved his family and his Lord. Dan was loved dearly by his family as well as his many, many friends. Dan was special and our lives are truly blessed to have known him. His presence will be sincerely missed. Dan passed away at Prairie View Nursing Home in Sanborn on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the age of 54 years. He was involved with the Reformed church in Sheldon. Survivors include his mother, Ruth of Sanborn; one brother, Robby L. Ballou, his wife, Laura and their children, Hannah, Rebecca and Sarah all of Boise, ID; one sister, Michele Brown, her husband, Brian and their daughter, Tamara all of Sanborn; other beloved relatives and friends.
