Kenlyn Dorean (Newbern) Boelter was born on August 2, 1953, in Panama City, FL the daughter of Dean and Doretta (Zahn) Newbern. She attended school in Elkader, IA at Central Community Schools and graduated in 1971. Kenlyn went on to attend Kirkwood Community College earning a degree as a Dental Assistant. She also worked as the head assistant and office manager for the university’s mobile dental unit that traveled the state helping underprivileged families.
