Obituary of Marsha Dagel

Memorial Tribute Marsha Ann (Olhausen) Dagel was born on August 22, 1937 in Moneta, IA; the daughter of Harry and Hulda (Jepsen) Olhausen. She lived her early years in the Moneta and Hartley area attending public school in Hartley and graduating from Hartley High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to Dennis Dagel on April 23, 1990. She and Dennis were married for 18 years but had no children together. Marsha and Dennis each had four children from previous marriages. Together the couple enjoyed gardening and taking fishing trips together. Marsha still served in the Environmental Services Department for Prairie View Nursing Home in Sanborn. On October 6, 2008 Marsha passed away in her sleep at her home at the age of 71. Marsha was an avid gardener and also loved playing the organ, crocheting, sewing and baking. Most of all she loved to spend time with her children, grand children and great grandchildren. She always looked forward to traveling to New Mexico to see her mother and sisters. Survivors include her husband Dennis; children: Deb Tifft of Sanborn, IA, Terry (Karen) Strubbe of Everly, IA, Kathy Strubbe of Hartley, IA, Laurie (Jim) Van Iperen of Hartley, IA, Sandy (Mark) Dillard of Henderson, NV, Toni Swets of Lander, WY, Jackie Klingenberg of Henderson, NV and Brett (Stephanie) Dagel of Omaha, NE; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother Kenneth (Nan) Olhausen of Spearfish, SD; two sisters: Mary Schluter of Fence Lake, NM, Karen (John) Miller of Las Cruces, NM; several nieces and nephews other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother Craig Olhausen; a great grandson Dominic; and a brother-in-law, Dewey Schluter.
