Obituary of Linda Sanders

Memorial Tribute Linda Kay (Zegers) Sanders, the daughter of Wilma (De Young) and Allie Zegers, was born in Sheldon, Iowa on January 27, 1952. She grew up in Sheldon, and received her education in the local schools. She lived in Lovington, NM for 17 years. She was blessed with four children: Noelle, Chad, Rainbow, and Aaron. She later returned to the Sanborn area with her children. On December 2, 2000, she was united in marriage to Greg Sanders. The couple made their home in Sheldon. Linda worked for Jay’s Restaurant in Sanborn, Village Northwest in Sheldon, and spent the last two years as a dietary assistant at the Prairie View Home in Sanborn. Linda had a special place in her heart for all animals, and enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and interior decorating. Following a brief illness, she passed away at her home in Sheldon on July 31, 2008, at the age of 56. Survivors include her husband, Greg of Sheldon; her children, Noelle Ver Meer of Shepherd, MT, Rainbow Pattison and Aaron Pattison, both of Sac City, IA; five grandchildren; her mother and step-father, Wilma and James Southerland of Sanborn; one sister, Margaret (Zegers) Davis of Columbus, OH. She was preceded in death by her father, Allie; one son, Chad Ver Meer; and a brother, Rodney Zegers.
