Obituary of Adelaide Erwin

Adelaide Ranae Erwin, the daughter of Tim and Deena (Krehlik) Erwin, was born on May 28, 2000 in Sioux Falls, SD. One of the many lessons Addy taught us was that she was no different than any of us, except that her brokenness was more apparent. We are all broken and helpless apart from the love of God in Christ. How grateful we are for His covenant promises, and the assurance we have that death is swallowed up in the victory of the cross. What comfort we take in the love of our brothers and sisters. Although Addy’s life was short, each day with her was a precious gift. And so our grieving is mediated with great hope. Our Saviour has come for His sweet girl and carried her safely home. Addy now lives without fear, pain, tears or sorrow. Praise God for the immeasurable mercies He showers upon His people! We praise Him for the perfect purposes He has accomplished through Addy’s life and death. Left to cherish Addy’s memory are her parents; two sisters: Tierney and Camille, and three brothers: Keegan, Elias and Samuel; her grandparents Darrell and Ronda Krehlik and Jim and Mareen Erwin, all of Spencer, IA; aunts and uncles: Brad and Tommie Krehlik of Waukee, IA, Brian and Linda Krehlik of Murfreesboro, TN, Todd and Lynn Erwin of Morton, IL, Dick and Cindy Speed of Sergeant Bluff, IA, and Jeff and Julie Bates of Morton, IL; several cousins; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by twin brothers John and Peter, who were taken by the Lord before birth.
