Memorial Tribute
Marjorie Elizabeth (Naab) Heiller, the daughter of Roy and Alvena (Benz) Naab, was born on January 13, 1931 near Melvin, Iowa. She lived her youth in Osceola County, Iowa, and graduated from Melvin Public High School. She went on to further her education by attending Wartburg College. After receiving her teaching degree Marjorie taught in Rockwell City, Mason City, Nora Springs and Sibley.
On June 12, 1954 she was united in marriage to Lin Heiller, the couple was blessed with five children. Following their marriage the couple was engaged in farming together near Melvin until Lin’s death on April 27, 1992. Marjorie continued to live on the farm until 1994. She then moved into the town of Melvin where she lived until 2004 when she entered the Country View Manor in Sibley. She passed away there on January 1, 2008 at the age of 76.
Marjorie enjoyed working with people all her life. She was active in Women of the Church, Melvin Red Hats, teaching Sunday school, the library board, all school reunion committee, dinner date, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also served as a Hospital Representative.
Survivors include her children: Rosie Duis-Kuester of Ames, IA, Martha R. Pap and her children, Charlie, Tony and Phillip of Sioux Falls, SD, Katrina (Ron) Jacobs and their children Jennifer and Jason of Melvin, IA, Tim (Vicki) Heiller and their children Matthew, Mary and Sarah of Madrid, IA, many loved nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Marjorie now joins those who preceded her in death. Her parents; husband Lin; son Charles; a brother Ralph and his wife Lucille Naab, a sister Joy and her husband Wayne Watterson.
