Robert Dean Noble, the son of Roy and Christine (Johnson) Noble, was born on June 5, 1930 in Ocheyedan, IA. He attended country school through the eight grade, and then assisted his father on the family farm. On November 19, 1950 Robert was united in marriage to Arlene Haemker at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ocheyedan. Following their marriage the couple farmed for several years and in 1956 moved to Hartley, where Robert was employed by the Hartley Creamery. Later he worked for several farmers, Brinkert Feed and the co-op elevator. In 1974 he began working at Eaton Corporation in Spencer until he retired in 1992. In 1999 he became ill and remained at home until 2001 when he became a resident at the Hartley Senior Wellness Center and in 2003 moved to the Mann Wing where he passed away on December 22, 2007 at the age of 77. Robert was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was an avid horseman and loved being around them at all times. Robert enjoyed dancing, camping, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Arlene of 57 years; two daughters: Judy (Keith) Webber of Hartley, IA, Sandra (Ed) Breidinger, of Spencer, IA; one son: Gary (Kathi) of Hartley, IA; five grandsons: Shane (Mary Beth) Breidinger, of Waukee, IA, Jason (Melissa) Noble of Ankeny, IA, Chad (Talia) Breidinger of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ryan Noble of Waterloo, IA and Joshua Noble of Hartley, IA; one granddauhghter: Keri Breidinger of Spencer, IA; one step-grandson: Kris (Carrie) Webber of Sioux Rapids, IA; two step-granddaughters: Darcey Webber of Hartley, IA and Kassie Webber of Spencer, IA; seven step-great grandchildren; two brothers: Harvey Noble of Hendricks, MN and Donald (JoAnn) Noble of Ocheyedan, IA; one sister: Velda Joens of Lake Park, IA; a sister-in-law: Helen (Mel) Loschen of Ocheyedan, IA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Lester; sister: Viola Hinders; three step grandchildren; two sister-in-laws and three brother-in-laws.
