Kimberly Kay “Kim” Remillard, the daughter of Marvin W. “Shorty” and Darlene F. Craun, was born August 24, 1960, in Hartley, Iowa. She grew up in Hartley and received her education there, graduating from HMS High School with the class of 1978.

    On May 20, 1995, Kim was united in marriage to Terry Lee Remillard at the Legion Hall in Hartley. They made their home in Spencer, Iowa, and enjoyed doing DJ gigs together on the weekends and hanging out with family. After moving to Hartley, they operated the town drive-in as well as Super Subs & Salads. With her days kept full, free time was usually hard to come by, but when she could, Kim liked to tap into her artistic side doing diamond art or coloring. She always looked forward to family camping adventures, seeing the sights at Deadwood, South Dakota, spoiling all her “grand-puppies”, or just playing around with her dog, Alex.

    Once she retired, Kim’s summers turned into a “working-holiday”! She had fun being the camp host at Douma Park near Sanborn, Iowa, where she had the opportunity to meet new people and their furry companions, as well as spend more time in the company of her own family.

    On Sunday, June 14, 2026, Kim passed from this life at the age of 65 years. She was preceded by her parents, Shorty and Darlene Craun; her brother, Lanny Popp; sister, Debbie Popp; grandpa, Walt Roggenburg; and grandma, Tillie Roggenburg.

    Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry Remillard; her daughter, Brittany (Cory) Sheeler all of Hartley, Iowa; her brother, Doug (Joy) Popp; sisters: Tammy Haburn and Lisa (Mark) Prins; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
