Eileen Elizabeth Jacobs, daughter of Earl E. and Merna L. (Klatt) Jacobs, was born July 1, 1948, in Hartley, Iowa. She spent her childhood on a farm near Hartley along with her five brothers and sisters. She received her education in Hartley, graduating from Hartley High School with the class of 1966.

    Following graduation, Eileen worked at the Hartley Pak for a few years before relocating to Santa Monica, California. There, she attended Santa Monica College, transferring to the University of Nevada at Reno where she graduated with a degree in accounting.

    In 1975, Eileen married Michael Kishkis; the couple made their home in Carson City, Nevada. Their son, Brett, was born here in 1981. The union would later dissolve. Eileen and Brett moved to Reno where she opened her first tax accounting business, Tax Account Pros. Eventually, she sold the business and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, establishing her second tax business, Taxes PhD.   

    Eileen spent most of her time developing and building her business along with a number of smaller ones which helped to support her main business, Taxes PhD. During her free time, she enjoyed being with her son, Brett, going out to eat at different restaurants, remodeling her home, gambling with friends and family and watching professional football or courtroom drama shows on television.

    On Saturday, February 7, 2026, Eileen passed from this life at the age of 77 years. Preceding her were her parents, Earl and Merna Jacobs; her sister, Karen Klaassen; her brother, David Jacobs; sister-in-law, Karen Jacobs; and brothers-in-law, Myron Klaassen and Harvey McClain.

    Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brett Kishkis of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sister, Marsha McClain of Harris, Iowa; brothers: Dwayne (Ruth) Jacobs of Milford, Iowa, and Dwight (Darla) Jacobs of Spirit Lake, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends.
