Sherryl Kae Tressler was born in Sheldon, Iowa on April 18, 1957, the only daughter of Arley and Jeanette (Hopkins) Endorf. She grew up in Sanborn, Iowa and received her education there, graduating from Sanborn High School with the class of 1975.

    The following year, Sherryl married Tom Crandall; they had one daughter, Rae Lyn. The union later dissolved. On July 1, 2004, she was united in marriage to Wade Martin Tressler at the Sanborn City Park with the town’s iconic Caboose as the backdrop. The couple lived near Germantown, Iowa for ten years before relocating to Sanborn, calling it “home” ever since.

    Even as a young girl, Sherryl had a soft spot in her heart for the canine species and had several as loving companions over the years. She shared her passion with the community by owning and operating a dog grooming enterprise out of her home. Along with maintaining her business, she was a loyal member of ABATE of Iowa for over 10 years, taking in fresh air and sunshine from the seat of a motorcycle. Touring around the area on a bike also gave her the opportunity to do some camping, something else she looked forward to in the summer months. As soon as the leaves began to show their fall color, Sherryl was busy digging out the all the boxes marked “Halloween” – it was her favorite holiday. She loved decorating and dressing up for the occasion and then handing out candy to all the little trick-or-treaters. (No one was ever sure if SHE had more fun…or the kids.)

    On Thursday, February 26, 2026, Sherryl left this life at the age of 68 years. She now joins loved ones who had gone before: her grandparents, Marie and Murvin Hopkins, and Elizabeth and Ray Endorf; her parents, Arley and Jeanette Endorf; and her brother, Raymond Endorf.

    Keeping her memory close in heart are her husband, Wade Tressler of Sanborn, Iowa; her daughter, Rae Lyn and her husband, Roger Paulson and their children: Jade Ryan Paulson and Ethan Lane Paulson all of Sheldon, Iowa; her brother, Alan and his wife, Vicki Endorf and their children: Andy Endorf and Janelle Endorf all of Waterloo, Iowa; other relatives and many friends.
