Sara Christine Brigham, one of two children born to Stephen J. and Julie Beth (Carney) Boever, came into the world on May 15, 1981, in Brookings, South Dakota.

    She attended school in Brookings until 1990 when her family relocated to Hartley, Iowa. There, she completed her education, graduating from HMS High School with the class of 1999. With her caring nature and positive attitude, Sara’s position as CNA at Community Memorial Health and Wellness Center in Hartley was a perfect fit. She enjoyed getting to know all the residents and being there for them to help in any way she could.

    On August 11, 2012, Sara was united in marriage to Kyle Robert Brigham at the United Methodist Church in Hartley. Two children made their family complete: Katelyn Beth and Wyatt LeRoy. With Katelyn’s premature arrival and Wyatt being born soon after, Sara’s days automatically centered around her family. She handled it all by taking each day at a time; keeping up with all of Katelyn’s doctor appointments (usually with baby Wyatt in tow) yet making sure everything ran smoothly at home. 

    As the kids got older, Sara looked forward to watching all of Wyatt’s ball games and going on camping trips as a family. Sitting around a roaring campfire after fishing all afternoon with her family and friends was the perfect end to a perfect day. When her children were both in school, Sara began working at the Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club in Hartley. She thoroughly enjoyed meeting new faces while keeping up with established patrons.

    On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Sara passed from this life at the age of 44 years. She will be kept close in heart by her husband, Kyle Brigham; her children: Katelyn and Wyatt Brigham; her mother, Julie Boever; and her brother, Mike Boever all of Hartley, Iowa; her special friend, Connie Popp all of Hartley, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

    Preceding her in death were her father, Stephen Boever; brother-in-law, Bryan Brigham; sister-in-law, Tonya Brigham; her grandparents: Loretta Carney, Earl Carney, Geraldine Boever and John Boever.
