Lisa Renee (Sindt) Johnson was born on April 18, 1962, to Arnold and Elizabeth “Betty” Sindt of Everly, Iowa. She grew up on a farm outside of Everly along with her seven siblings and attended the  Everly Community School.

    On October 3, 1981, Lisa was united in marriage to Jay Dane Johnson of Hartley, Iowa. They made their home on a farm near Hartley where they raised four wonderful sons: Jason, Travis, Tim and Keith.

    Lisa had a passion for growing flowers and excelled at it. She was also an avid rock collector and loved being in the mountains. Coming home after several family vacations out west, the vehicle would be weighed down with rocks and plants she had collected while there. Her dogs were an important part of her life as well. But most of all, she loved her family dearly and always put not only their needs, but anyone else’s, above her own.

    Lisa passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 22, 2025, with her family at her side. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
