Obituary of Daniel Lee Walker

    Daniel Lee “Dan” Walker, son of Kenneth Lee and Ardel Ann (Rueter) Walker, was born July 8, 1977, in Spencer, Iowa. He spent his youth in Spencer and received his education there. He then enrolled at Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, Iowa, completing their welding program. He had been gainfully employed with MWI Components in Spencer for 18 years.

    On Friday, May 19, 2006, Dan was united in marriage to Bobbi Hinds at Victory Baptist Church in Spencer, Iowa. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Kaylee Ann and Allee Marie. His greatest joy in life was watching his daughters grow up and spending time with them. He also liked playing board games, going on long walks, and attending family gatherings.

    On Friday, March 28, 2025, Daniel passed from this life at the age of 47 years. Loved ones who had gone before include his father, Kenneth Walker; his maternal grandfather, Loyd Rueter; half-brother, Michael Walker; and his nephew, Dawson Walker. 

    Those left to mourn his passing are his two daughters: Kaylee Walker and Allee Walker; his mother, Ardel (Dennis) Martin; his maternal grandmother, Sharon Rueter; half-brothers: Tom (CJ) Walker, Bob Walker and Michael Danner; half-sister, Shayla Daner; step-mother, Helen Walker; other relatives and friends.

    Daniel will be remembered as a good man at heart who cherished his daughters and family. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
