Memorial Tribute Robert "Bob" Bradford Taylor, son of Burrel Bradford and Anna Mae (Connely) Taylor, was born on March 17, 1942 in Broken Bow, Nebraska. He spent his youth in the Broken Bow area, and received his early education at the local country school, completing his Junior High and High School years in Broken Bow. Following graduation, Bob served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1964. Upon returning home, he was employed as a ranch hand, and became interested in livestock. Consequently, he enrolled in college and earned his B.S. in Animal Science. Bob was united in marriage to Patricia Christen on January 27, 1990 at Sanborn, Iowa. The couple made their home in Sanborn for the last 26 years. In 1980, Bob started a trucking career which spanned over 20 years. When he retired, he was employed at AMPI in Sanborn, Iowa. After being active and on-the-road, Bob wasn't one to sit idle. He enjoyed a part-time job for the past 8-plus years, working in a waiver home at Village Northwest in Sheldon, Iowa. When he could arrange for some time to kick back, Bob found camping and fishing to be a relaxing change of pace. He and his best friend, "K-9 Husker", would spend as much time together as they could. He was a member of the American Legion at Sanborn, Iowa. Bob passed from this life on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the age of 74. Preceding him in death were his parents, Burrel and Anna Mae Taylor; his two sons, Brad Taylor, and Bruce Taylor; and his sister, Linda Murrish. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Pat Taylor of Sanborn, Iowa; his son, Steven (Katy) Taylor of Tulalip, Washington; step-daughters: Amy Stevens (daughters, Olivia and Savanna) of Des Moines, Iowa and Karrie McCrea of Guthrie Center, Iowa; sister, Dona Wray of Exon, Pennsylvania, along with her family; brother-in-law, Bernie Murrish of Kearney, Nebraska, and his family; several nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends.
