Obituary of Murine Webber

Memorial Tribute Murine Margaret Webber, the daughter of Leslie and Myrtle (Bedow) Schewe, was born on July 31, 1929 in Sioux Falls, SD. She spent her youth in the southwest Minnesota area and attended school at Arco, MN, graduating from the 8th grade. Murine was united in marriage to Raymond John Webber on October 31, 1946 at the parsonage in Canby, MN. Three children were born to this union: Keith, Kurt, and Karen. The couple farmed together for five years near Ivanhoe, MN, then relocated to Elkton, SD, and again to Toronto, SD. In 1954, the family moved to a farm southwest of Moneta, IA, then in 1958, moved into the town of Hartley, IA. Murine worked at the Hartley Egg Plant from 1957 – 1960. When Ray found employment at Spencer, IA, the family relocated there in 1960 and made it their home for 17 years. While living there, Murine was employed at Aalf's Manufacturing in Spencer from 1962 – 1975, and later by the Spencer Police Department as a meter maid. In 1977, they moved to a farm near Ruthven, IA, and Murine continued working in Spencer at National Spencer Manufacturing, retiring in 1989. Murine was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley, and later, a member of First English Lutheran in Spencer. She enjoyed what nature had to offer; bird watching, her cats and her dogs. When there was time to relax, Murine could always find something entertaining to watch on the television. She passed from this life on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the age of 86. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ray in 2012; and three great-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Keith (Judy) Webber of Hartley, IA, Kurt Webber of Arlington, TX, and Karen Webber of Ruthven, IA; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, LuVerne (Donna) Schewe of Granite Falls, MN; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Nelson of Bedford, TX; other relatives and friends.
